By Nancy Espinoza, Tax Manager Los Angeles Mayor Approves Minimum Wage Increase Los Angeles has approved a phased-in minimum wage increase to $15 per hour over the next five years. The minimum wage will increase to $10.50 on July 1, 2016. Annual increases will follow to $12, $13.25, $14.25, and $15.
